Results Migratory Way, Turners Falls, July 8, 2026

Patter and I took a walk yesterday morning - July 8 - at Migratory Way. Honestly, I wasn't expecting much of a birding experience on a hot morning. I was wrong. Here's what we saw and heard

Female Wood duck with six babies (some of them clambering over lily pads in the water) SH

Great Blue Heron S

Watched an Osprey catch a fish and fly off (presumably to its nest) SH

Eastern Kingbird SH

Eastern Warbling Vireo H

Red-eyed Vireo H (of course!) H

Male Eastern Bluebird and fledgling (the latter taking a bath in a puddle) SH
